Bolton Nice has finally been allowed to use the former Seetec Employment & Skills building, which was given to the Bolton Council back in 2017 and has been allowed to lay empty ever since.
This will give the charity who provides food, clothing, and furniture to those in need of support within our community a new base and should allow them to expand the work that they do.
However, not all the News is good, once again party politics within the council seemed to delay the consent-off -use up until now, and currently, we understand that the charity has only been given temporary use, as Bolton Council has now decided it wants to sell this publicly owned asset off.
Wouldn’t it be better to allow the building to continue to serve the people of community, and be utilised by Bolton Nice, and possible other good causes, than to sell it off, and have any monies raised from the sale, frittered away by the current local authority?
